          File consists of various historical papers collected by Harold Reeve over the course of doing research for his publications. It includes original notes for advertisements in the Port Hope Evening Guide (from c. 1900s), copies of original survey documents from the Archives of Ontario; and - Port Hope Fire Department Pamphlet, East Durham Historical Society Pamphlet, Municipal Return for Hope Township (1905), Marriage Act (Daniel M.           Photograph showing the first and only location of the Edgeley post office which was also the general store. It was located on the south east corner of Thornhill Sideroad and the Fifth Concession of Vaughan Township, Ontario, now Hwy. 7 and Jane St. Mr. L. Arthur Whitmore, postmaster and general store owner, is seen here putting groceries in a buggy. In the buggy on the right is his father-in-law, William Reid, an Edgeley blacksmith, who was ready to leave for Concord to pick up the mail from the train at the Thornhill station. The Edgeley post office and store was closed on July 12, 1960. It was demolished when Jane St was widened and paved in 1965.

          Item is a 1st edition, 1901 copy of "Port Hope Historical Sketches" signed by the author W. Arnot Craick in 1963. Also included is a copy of the prospectus that was created about 1900 for advertising purposes.

V. Strong; (6) "Picturesque Port Hope," by W. Williamson; (7) "The Ganaraska Review, Volume One Number 1, September 1988," by Port Hope Original Group. This series also includes a copy of "Picturesque Port Hope" and the "Port Hope Old Boys Re-Union Souvenir 1901" located in the Reading Room Reference Collection.

          This fonds consists of minute books and financial records created by the Colpoy's Bay Ladies' Aid Society, affiliated with the Colpoy's Bay United Church.

          In particular, it consists of 12 volumes of minute books, with membership lists, spanning the periods: 1905-1910, 1916-1918, 1918-1922, 1920-1932, 1922-1923, 1924-1926, 1926-1928, 1932-1938, 1938-1943; 1943-1948, and 1948-1957. Minutes from 1912-191- are included in the back of the Minute Book of the Junior Epworth League of Colpoy's Bay.

          The financial records consist of: a Ledger, 1932-1972, and the Ladies' Aid Parsonage Account Book, 1967-1969.
