    Biographical history

As a child, Roger Leclerc lived in Carey Lake, a small community located 27 km west of Hearst. His father, Léo, was an employee at the Canada Forwarding Company, which operated a sawmill at that location. The sawmill was in operation for a few years and then shut down. This led to the hamlet’s closure.

    Custodial history

    Scope and content

The collection includes six digital photos of the Canada Fowarding Company’s installations in Carey Lake and four digital classroom photos from École Sainte-Thérèse in Hearst, in 1951-1952.
