The records associated with this fonds were created or collected by Edwin Bennett of Woodstock in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Following his death in 2010, his daughter Mary Jane Bennett gained ownership. In 2011, she donated them to the County of Oxford Archives along with his other personal records (please see COA44 Edwin Bennett fonds).
Scope and content
The fonds consists of various materials relating to the life of Joseph W. Boyle as well as the repatriation of his body to Woodstock in 1983 from Hampton Hills, England. Such materials include:

Materials in this collection are in good condition.
Immediate source of acquisition
The fonds was acquired in 2011, by the County of Oxford Archives from Mary Jane Bennett, daughter of the late Edwin Bennett, as part of his personal records. In 2012, a number of photographs were transferred from the Woodstock Museum (these photographs were previously donated to the Museum by members of the Bennett family).
