History
The City Solicitor, acts as senior legal advisor to City Council, The Corporation of the City of Vaughan and Vaughan Public Libraries, and is responsible for the Office of the City Solicitor and Real Estate Department. The Legal Counsel in the Office of the City Solicitor practices several areas of law including: general municipal, real estate, planning and development, procurement, municipal contract, employment, litigation, prosecutions and public policy.
The Office of the City Solicitor provides timely, accurate and strategic legal services to departments within the City of Vaughan. The Corporation of the City of Vaughan and the Vaughan Public Libraries are their clients and they do not provide legal advice or services to the public.
