Administrative history
By 1897, services in Killaloe were held at the Union church every two weeks. The Union church became Anglican by tenure and due to the departure of other denominations. On August 23, 1905 construction of a new church at Killaloe began with the laying of the cornerstone. The Church of the Ascension, Killaloe was officially opened on May 24, 1906. In 1965-1966, an experiment of combined services was instituted where the congregations of Killaloe and Tramore worshipped together at Killaloe. By 1982, Killaloe was serviced during the winter and closed during the summer and Tramore was closed during the winter and served during the summer months. The Church of the Ascension, Killaloe remains an outstation in the parish of Eganville.
