Castleford United Church was established in 1925; formerly Presbyterian. It would later form part of Braeside Pastoral Charge. On Sept. 26, 2017 Braeside Pastoral Charge was renamed Glasgow-Castleford Pastoral Charge. It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.

Fonds consists of marriages, 1933-1935, of Castleford United Church and Horton United Church in Horton Township (Castleford and Horton were part of the same pastoral charge at one time); and Session minutes, 1925-1945, of Castleford United Church; the volume of minutes also contains baptisms, 1945-1948, and burials, 1944-1949.
