Cargill Pastoral Charge was established ca. 1928, when Eden Grove, Cargill and Purdy Pastoral Charge was combined with Pinkerton and Cargill Pastoral Charge; ca. 1973 it was discontinued, with Cargill becoming part of Paisley Pastoral Charge. Eden Grove Methodist Circuit included Glammis and Purdy's; it was established in 1877 and discontinued in 1925 when the Methodist Church joined the United Church of Canada. Cargill Methodist Church was established circa 1902; it joined the United Church of Canada in 1925. Knox Memorial Presbyterian was established in the 1870's (previously a Presbyterian Sunday School had been formed); it joined the United Church of Canada in 1925. St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church was established ca 1902; it joined the United Church in 1925. Eden Grove United Church was established in 1925, formerly Methodist; it closed ca. 1969. Knox Memorial United Church was established in 1925, formerly Presbyterian. St. Andrew's United Church was established in 1925, formerly Presbyterian; ca. 1928 it joined with Wesley United Church, Cargill, to form Cargill United Church. Cargill United Church was established ca. 1928 when St. Andrew's United Church and Wesley United Church were united.
