        On March 22, 1967 the functions formerly carried out by the Support and Test Wing and the laboratories of the Electronic and Electrical Division of the Army Equipment Engineering Establishment, the Mobile Support Equipment Section of the Central Experimental and Proving Establishment, and the Canadian Naval Electronic Laboratory were consolidated under a new unit known as the Land Engineering Test Establishment (LETE) based at Uplands, Ottawa. >From 1967 to 1973 LETE remained a unit of the Regular Force under the control of CFHQ. In 1973 LETE was assigned to NDHQ/Senior ADM(Mat)
