Cambridge Street United Church, located at 61 Cambridge Street in Lindsay, was established in 1925, formerly Methodist. The congregation traces its origins to the presence of Wesleyan Methodists in Lindsay as early as 1833, though the church that would be called Cambridge Street Methodist was not built until 1871. In 1925, Cambridge Street Methodist Church joined with some members of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church to form First United Church in Lindsay. First United was renamed Cambridge Street United Church ca. 1933. It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.

Fonds consists of records, including marriages, 1878-1884, 1896-1921, of Cambridge Street Methodist Church, Lindsay ( includes Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, Lindsay), 1888-1925; marriage records of First United Church, Lindsay (includes Cambridge Street Methodist Church in Lindsay), 1921-1932; and records, including baptisms, 1910-1992, marriages, 1908-1915, 1925-1996, and burials, 1908-1993, of Cambridge Street United Church, Lindsay (includes Cambridge Street Methodist Church and First United Church in Lindsay), 1908-1996.
