The photographs are arranged by subject matter and cover activities in and around the town of Deseronto, Ontario. The majority date from the late nineteenth century and many depict the lumber-related industries of the Rathbun Company in Deseronto. There are also photographs of school groups, churches, railways, First World War airfields and portraits of Deseronto citizens.

This ledger and log book contains:

(a) Schooner Nemesis ledger (1875, 1876, 1877) expenses and earnings, and financial records related to Captain John Spence, John H. Spence and individuals to whom wages were paid, including Maurice Precious, Thomas Harkness, Asa Garned, Harry Jones, John Cornelius, Laughlin Currie, John R. Black, John McDuff, William Woolway, David Derick, Robert Parker, Charles Greenwood, Edward Marlton, Archie McDonald, Sam Noble, Thomas Tate, Ben Garrison, Martin Gillies, Frank Granville, Malcolm Mathieson, John Mathieson, George Currie, Alex McDiarmid, William McKenzie, Frank Longe, and Charles Hillard.

(b) Schooner Nemesis Log Book (1880), in which information about the weather and the schooner's journeys were recorded; and

(c) Schooner Wanderer log book for 1882, in which information about the weather and the schooner's journeys were recorded.

The fonds documents the creation and activities of the British Canadian Trade Association in promoting trade between Great Britain and Canada.

Series consists of photograhs depicting the people and places of early Vaughan as well as the post offices throughout Vaughan Township (Norberta wrote a book Chatting About the Post Offices of Vaughan Township, Ontario, published 1983), Norberta was also a long-time journalist with the Woodbridge and Vaughan News and thus some of the photos she used in her articles can also be found in this series.

Fonds consists of textual and photographic records accumulated by Mr. Harry Moscoe during the 1940 to 1947 period. The majority of these records document Mr. Moscoe's activities as Executive Director of the Canadian Jewish Congress, Eastern Region, War Efforts Committee. A few files also document examples of his personal, financial and legal office activities, while still living in Kirkland Lake and later in Montreal. War Efforts Committee records focus on the CJC's responsibilities for: Servicemen's Centres in Halifax, Montreal, Moncton and St. John, Red Cross blood drives, tracking Jewish officers, Jewish casualties, and regular meetings of the War Efforts Committee. Also here are extensive newspaper clippings documenting Jewish servicemen' activities, casualties, heroics and decorations. Of special note is a 20 x 25 cm b&w photograph within File 18, "Jewish Chaplains". The image features seven uniformed Canadian Jewish chaplains who served during the Second World War. They are: Rabbi Abraham Babb, Rabbi David Monson, Rabbi Oscar Fassman, Rabbi Charles Bender, Rabbi Samuel Cass, Rabbi Jacob Eisen and Rabbi Morrris Casriel Katz.

The Belleville Chamber of Commerce fonds is composed of:

• one file of correspondence including a press release, a ballot for the election for the 1968 election
• one file containing two newsletters from 1956 and the last page of another newsletter from 1958.
• one file of industrial brochures and promotional material containing three brochures circa 1953.
• one file has annual reports from 1922, 1954, 1955, and 1956 in it, and a better service survey from 1953. * one file contains three guides about Belleville from 1950, three information guides for visitors to Belleville from 1961.
• one file of directories and maps from 1949 to 1963.
• two files containing “The Highlands of Hastings” travel brochures from 1940 to 1967, and a Quinte Isle tourist directory.
• one file containing files from the “Jaycees,” also known as the Belleville Junior Chamber of Commerce.
• one file of material from the Belleville Board of Trade for Hastings County period in the organizations history.
• one file containing ephemera pieces including a sign indicating membership and a menu.
• one file contains various newspaper clippings.
• series of scrapbooks dedicated to the Chamber of Commerce.

The fonds consists of two books plus banking records and statements, invoices, a postcard, phone bills and two flyers. Book 1 is an account ledger with name index spanning from 1932-1940. Book 2 is a notebook from 19 March 1940- 18 Sept. 1944. Other records include a statement from Sept. 21, 1936 plus 10 pages from an accounts ledger, no date, possibly recording household goods sold from the Pitman's store; two Canadian Bank of Commerce vinyl folders; seven “Long Distance Service” phone bill statements; two receipts; four loose pages from a petty accounts book; two envelopes; card from “Tuck” to Mrs. J. Churchill, no date; two flyers, one from “Charlinore Kennels” and one from “Director of Annuities”.

Fonds consists of the political and business papers of John Stevenson, arranged into the following series: Political correspondence, including patronage issues, appointments and strategies. Business papers, including economic ventures, land dealings, lumbering, milling, railways and Richmond Road Company. Items concerning role as Justice of the Peace in Napanee. Fonds consists of business papers from the stewardship of W.H. Wilkison 1865-1868, and from the stewardship of Alfred Knight 1893-1901. The papers from the intervening years are missing. The correspondence relates to the management of Cartwright property in the county, as well as a few other business ventures.
