History
Isaac Baker (1883-1991) was a descendant of Jacob and Mary Baker who emigrated from Somerset County, Pennsylvania to Upper Canada in 1800. In 1800, Jonathan Baker, a grandchild of the above, purchased Lot 11, Concession 2 in Vaughan Township, Ontario. This property, which remains in the hands of Baker descendants, included a harness shop where Isaac Baker plied his trade, providing the Vaughan community with horse harnesses and leather goods for over 60 years.
