        History

        Amos Baker was born in 1907 on the 200 acre farm, comprising lot 11, concession 2, Vaughan Township. The property had been in the Baker family since its purchase in 1816 by Jonathan Baker (originally of Pennsylvania). Amos Baker worked the subject property until 1977. He married Edna Reaman in 1937; the couple had four children: Paul, Martha, Mary Ann and Elizabeth. Amos died on 14 September 1993.
