This fonds contains records from the Baden Public Library. These records include a handwritten history of the Baden Library from its beginnings to the time that it became part of the County of Waterloo Library, a set of Librarian's reports from that same period and newspaper clippings about the library. This fonds consists of three series.

At some point the collection was transferred to the Ayr Branch of the Region of Waterloo library, and was later transferred to the Region of Waterloo Archive in 2017.

This series contains a hand-written account of the history of the Baden Public Library from its Nineteenth Century beginnings to its takeover by the County of Waterloo in 1967. The history was written by Mrs. John Stiefelmeyer, one of the volunteers who ran the library, with a long section about sixties provided by the former volunteer librarian, Mrs. Clayton Selyer. The history book also has a brief photo album at the rear, showing photographs of the volunteer run library.

This series contains the annual reports read aloud to the volunteer board of the Baden Public Library between 1958 and 1966. These reports are handwritten speeches which summarize the activities of the proceeding year for the library. They report on the number of books and borrowers, the growth of the library, the community activities the library took part in and anecdotes about the year's events. The series is arranged chronologically.
