Ashfield Presbyterian Church, Ontario, was first established as a mission station in 1848 in connection with the Presbyterian Church of Canada. By 1860 it had been erected as a congregation and a building had been constructed. At the time of Church Union in 1925 the majority remained in The Presbyterian Church in Canada. In 1939 Ashfield was linked with Bervie and Ripley in a three-point charge, and in 1940 was linked with Ripley alone as a two-point charge.

Fonds consists of reports and histories of Ashfield Presbyterian Church, Ashfield, Ontario. Specifically, the fonds consists of annual reports for the years 1933 and 1935; an Order of Service for the 125th Anniversary of the church, June 17th, 1973; and the following historical sketches "Three Generations of Standard Bearers: 1848-1918", "A Centenary of Ashfield Presbyterian Church: 1848-1948", and "An Historical Sketch to commemorate the 125th Anniversary: 1848-1973".
