Biographical history
Anne J. Barrie of Court St., Port Arthur, widow, lived in the residence of Thomas Penfold, gaoler. In 1913-1914 she was President of the Canadian Women's Press Club, Port Arthur branch. Her primary interests seemed to have been women's rights, prohibition and Ireland.
