              Brown, Brad

              Edmund Bradley 'Brad' Brown was born on May 10, 1940 in Toronto. He attended Appleby College from 1949 to 1954 and went on to finish his secondary school studies at the University of Toronto schools. He did not graduate at Appleby College but is considered to be in the Class of 1959. At Appleby, Brad was a member of the school's Coronation Choir, who were invited to Britain by the Commonwealth Youth Movement to perform in the Coronation celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II.

              Brad chose marketing as his career and after graduating from the University of Western Ontario, he joined Lever Brothers and later General Foods where he spent 10 years in positions of Product Manager, Group Product Manager and New Business Development Manager on many of those companies' largest and most successful brands. Brad later founded his own consulting company and later advertising agency, both of which had many blue chip companies as clients. Brad still consults periodically for his long time clients Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Suncor.

              Mayor, Rodney Garth

              Rodney “Rod” Garth Mayor was born May 24th, 1938, in Toronto, Ontario. Mayor attended Appleby College from 1950 to 1953. He did not graduate from the school, but is considered to be from the class of 1957. He was privileged to be a part of the Appleby Coronation choir that performed at Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953. Mayor is remembered at Appleby as a distinguished boxer, winning the James Cup (80 lbs) in 1952. Upon leaving Appleby, Mayor attended Ryerson and specialized in business administration. He has worked for Nestle Canada and has been working in real estate for over 18 years. Mayor interests include volunteering as a Big Brother, coaching hockey in Port Credit, and horse racing.

              Rosseel, John

              John Rosseel was born February 15, 1957 in Worcester, Massachusetts. He attended Appleby College from 1971 to 1976. While a student, John was Head Prefect (1975-1976), captained the First Football and the Open Rugby Teams. He was awarded Colours in Football and Rugby. He was stage manager for the annual operetta production for three consecutive years, member of the debating club and co-editor for the 1975 Argus yearbook.

              In 1981, John received his B.A. in English from Queen's University and pursued a career in the graphic arts as a photo technician, medical photographer and currently a commercial offset printer. John is an active sailor, sings in many choirs, and serves on the Board of Directors of Open Voices Community Choir.

              Sefton, James William "Bill"

              James William "Bill" Sefton was born on October 25, 1915 to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sefton. He attended Appleby College from 1929 to 1932, and although he did not graduate here, he is considered to be part of the Class of 1935. While attending Appleby, Bill participated in soccer, Junior hockey, boxing, Cadets, badminton, cricket and was on the Third football team. He was confirmed at the John Bell Chapel in 1930.

              Bill married Sarah Jardine Murray on April 3, 1941. They lived in Toronto and he worked as a truck driver for Loblaws. He was a supporter of Appleby College and attended many Alumni (Old Boys) events. He died on Friday January 5, 2007.
