Bereik en inhoud
The fonds consists of recordings of the "Local History with George Thorman" series, which ran on the local Allview Cable 8 network. In each episode, George Thorman interviews guests about various aspects of the history of St. Thomas and Elgin Country. In the early to mid-1990's, Steve Peters took on the role of host. The show then became known as "The New Local History with Steve Peters". These shows examined a wide range of topics, such as: the military careers of local citizens, the history of St. Thomas businesses, and the natural history of Elgin County. The diverse and detailed expertise of the guests makes this fonds an important source of historical information.
