    Administrative history

The congregation at Erin, Ont. was without a minister for several years, until the fall of 1865, when Rev. Johnstone Vicars was placed in charge of the mission. The decision to construct a church was taken in the summer of 1866 and completed the following year. It was not consecrated, however, until November 1934. For a more complete history see the pamphlet All Saints Church, Erin, Ontario, Centennial. Beginning in 1883 Erin, Hillsburgh, and Reading were all served by the same rector. Records for all churches are inter-mixed within the same parish ledgers.
