Albert Abraham Strauss is a prominent lawyer in Toronto, Ontario. He practiced with his father, Nathan Strauss, in Toronto for many years. Albert Strauss was awarded the Law Society Medal in 1991.

Immediate source of acquisition
The material in the fonds was sent to the Osgoode Society by Albert A. Strauss in June of 2005. Marilyn MacFarlane contacted the Archives to see whether it was interested in the material. The Archives expressed an interest in the records, and in July of 2005, made arrangements with Strauss for the formal donation of the records.
