Biographical history

Agnes Davidson served as the camp director of Glen Mohr Camp of The Presbyterian Church in Canada for 14 years. Davidson’s nickname at camp was “Davey”. She was also an active member of numerous organizations including the Presbyterian Young Peoples Society (PYPS), Canadian Girls in Training (CGIT), and the Women’s Missionary Society (WMS). She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Agincourt, Ontario.

Scope and content

Fonds consists primarily of materials created or collected by Agnes Davidson that document Davidson’s work with young people through camps, bible schools, CGIT and WMS. Records include camp papers, camp activity resources, pamphlets, brochures, notebooks, photographs, correspondence and ephemera. Fonds also consists of correspondence, news paper clippings, programs, and certificates that document Davidson’s involvement with the Presbyterian Young Peoples Society (PYPS) and the Women’s Missionary Society (WMS). Some of the WMS material includes records created or collected by Agnes Davidson’s mother, Mrs. W.B. Davidson. There are also personal mementos and memorabilia.
