The Aesculapian Society was formed around 1945. It represents the medical students of the University of Ottawa in its dealings with the Faculty of Medicine and other organizations. It organizes activities for its members.

The fonds contain files which document the functions of the Aesculapian Society. It includes yearbooks: Aesculapiad ([1950-1958], 1964-1965), student newspapers including: Update (1971-1973), Medition (1977-1981) and the Medical Journal of the University of Ottawa (1956, 1969-1972).
