    Custodial history

This series of the larger artificial collection was assembled at the Archives, and consists of material for 109 of the candidates.

    Scope and content

Series consists of campaign material for candidates in the 2014 municipal elections. Files include Mayors, Regional Councillors, and City/Area Councillors for each municipality, as well as for trustees of three of the four school boards in the area.

Items include pamphlets, booklets, business cards, flyers, letters, press releases, signage, stickers, transcripts, and a photograph of a candidate next to a man in a Transformers costume. It also includes clippings from newspapers not normally collected by the Archives as of 2014.

    Physical condition

    Immediate source of acquisition

All candidates with publicly listed emails were contacted by Archives staff, soliciting donations for the artificial collection. These items were supplemented by items received at the door by archives staff and volunteers, as well as the public. In the latter case, PAMA offered free admission in exchange for campaign literature, with limited response.
