Dr. W. Guy Mahaffy and Marion Mahaffy were married at eight o'clock p.m. on December 2, 1939 at Knox Presbyterian Church in Sudbury, Ontario.

Marion Mahaffy was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Plaunt. Dr. Mahaffy was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Mahaffy of Parry Sound, Ontario.

Marion Mahaffy's veil, which featured a long, square cut train, was made of alencon lace and was a copy of a museum piece in Cluny, France.
