Notice biographique
A.W. Farmer (1903- ) served with the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) as a medical practioner during the Second World War. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 and completed training at the School of Aviation Medicine. He was then posted to RCAF Headquarters in Ottawa as a surgical consultant, at which point he was asked to examine its surgical treatment facilities across Canada in order to identify problems and recommend solutions. Dr. Farmer remained with the RCAF as a supplementary reserve officer following the war and was promoted to the rank of Group Captain in 1950. In 1993, he was living in Toronto, Ontario.
