The Township of Augusta, County of Leeds and Grenville, Ontario, was incorporated effective January 1, 1850 under the terms of the Baldwin Act, Chapter 81, Canada Statutes, 1849.

Fonds consists of the official records of Augusta Township, including Council Minutes, 1850-1902; By-laws, 1836-1902; Assessment and Collectors Rolls, 1851-1917; Clerks Files, 1850-1900; Poll Books, 1856-1931; and Treasurers Cash Books, 1889-1913.
