George H. Mills (1827-1901) practiced law in the Hamilton, Ontario area, and was involved in financial and railway enterprises, local politics, and served as the Alderman for St. George's Ward and as Mayor of Hamilton.

George H. Mills was born in Hamilton, Ontario on November 20, 1827 to George Mills and Christina Hess. He married Frances Rebecca Deacon on March 16, 1855. He was a lawyer who founded his own practice in the Hamilton area, and was also involved in financial and railway enterprises, founding some of the first railways in the Hamilton area. He was also involved in the founding of the Victoria Mutual Fire Insurance Company. He was involved in local politics, and served as the Alderman for St. George's Ward and as Mayor of Hamilton. He was involved with the Hamilton Horticultural Society and was the first president of the Wentworth Historical Society. He died on August 16, 1901.
