Biographical history
Harry Isaac Price (1897-1985) was an insurance broker and a Progressive Conservative politician.
Harry Isaac Price was born in Toronto on April 5, 1896 to Isaac and Margaret Ann (Simpson) Price. After his education in public and high schools in Toronto, he served overseas with the 75th Battalion from 1914-1917. The following year, on April 20, 1918, he married Ethel Margaret Hilker, Hamilton ON. They had two children, a son (James) and a daughter.
From 1919-1925, Harry Price served as Vocational Director with Dominion Government, and in 1923, he was the Vice-Chairman of the Ontario Athletic Commission. He was elected for West York Constituency (Progressive Conservative), 1931-1934. Further to these positions, Harry Price was an insurance broker and was President of Harry Price Insurance Agencies Ltd. in Toronto and President of Harry Price Manitoba Ltd. He also served as 1st Vice-President and Director of the Canadian National Exhibition; President, Cameron Drilling Co. Ltd.; and Director, Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Fonds consists of photographs showing events and activities attended by Harry Isaac Price. Photographs show the unveiling of plaques dedicated to Sir John A. MacDonald and Fort Rouille; Price presenting crests and certificates for the Canada Sports Hall of Fame at the Canadian National Exhibition; and meetings and dinners attended by Harry Isaac Price and other notables (including Progressive Conservative politicians).
Fonds also contains several letters, including correspondence from the Office of the Premier. Some correspondence possibly refers to photographs located in this fonds.
