Canadian Theatre Review
Administrative history
The Canadian Theatre Review was established in 1974 as Canada's only professional theatre journal. In was initiated at York University through the Theatre Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts. It published play scripts, essays, interviews with theatre professionals, announced events for the community and offered news on the international theatre scene. The Review is a production of CTR Publications which also produces the Canadian Theatre Annual, Canadian Stage and other publications related to theatre training and performance.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of typescripts of articles, galleys, art-work, editorials and related material from the production of the Review. There is also a great deal of correspondence with Canadian theatre companies and theatres, concerning productions, which includes playbills, programs, press releases and related material. There are also financial documents, including invoices for products published by CTR Publications, as well as some budget material.
