Biographical history

Benjamin Eager resided in Wellington Square, St. Catharines, Ont., circa 1874-1876. He worked for J.E. Moore & Co., a sash [storm window] and door factory, located in St. Catharines, Ont.

Custodial history

Fonds was donated by Edward Phelps, former Special Collections Librarian, D.B. Weldon Library, University of Western Ontario, to Special Collections and Archives, James A. Gibson Library, Brock University, around 1980[?].

Scope and content

Fonds consists of correspondence belonging to Benjamin Eager, Esq., dated 1874-1876. Fonds includes correspondence from Mr. Eager's bookeeper, Wm. E. Minhinnick, as well as letters from his employer, J.E. Moore. Also included is a series of letters signed "Joseph".
