Biographical history
Arthur Guy Reynolds (1909-1981) was a United Church minister, church administrator and archivist/historian. Born in Bond Head, Ontario, he studied at Victoria and Emmanuel Colleges, earning his M.A. and D.D., and was ordained in 1934. He ministered in Ontario, 1934-1958; was the Archivist for the United Church, 1958-1965; and was Registrar, Librarian, and a part-time lecturer at Emmanuel College, 1965-1974. He also served on a number of Church boards and committees, including the Committee on Christian Faith; wrote articles and books on contemporary ecclesiastical issues, and researched and wrote on the history of the United Church and its antecedents.

Fonds consists of sermons, and includes orders of service, addresses, articles, clippings and printed material (88.233C); subject files and manuscripts on various aspects of church history, n.d.; sermons and addresses, 1960-1969; pamphlets and publications (88.036C); a marriage register for St. George's United Church, Toronto which became the personal marriage register of Rev. A.G. Reynolds for Sydenham Township, Sarawak Township, Annan, Balaclava, Leith and Owen Sound (97.092C/TR), slides depicting Ontario churches, 1961-1963, (2000.048c).
